Much of my work centers on building equity in Houston neighborhoods and education. I’ve been fortunate to serve two mayoral administrations in the Mayor’s Office of Education Initiatives and honored to work with some very creative people and organizations. I enjoy working with others who have a growth mindset and who shift the conversation from organizational to collaborative problem solving strategies.
Currently, I’m proud to serve on the board of directors for Writers in the Schools Houston and Young Audiences of Houston and chair the Art Access Initiative Steering Committee. Both organizations do incredible work introducing students to the arts and using the arts to build community. This website is a collection of the things I find interesting, the things I work on, and the people who work with me on them.
